Working as a team for best results: The 3 partners;
Your distributor of FAIR TRADE hammocks in NORTH-AMERICA.
In 2007 I decided to quit my job as a Certified management consultant to travel and discover the world. I first spent 3 months learning Spanish. The next winter, while traveling in Mexico, I met and felt in love with the Mayan people. Then I started HAMMOCK YUCATAN, with a vision to offer those great FAIRLY produced hammocks to the world and this way helping many families to get a better life without sacrificing their culture. Mayan have been making hammocks for over 600 years.
After meeting in 2016 with Peter and Phranee, and realizing that we share the same vision, I am happy and honored to be part of this team as sole distributor for North-America.
I choose the brand name HILL-TRIBE HAMMOCKS because it tells what it is.
As stated before, HAMMMOCK ART is the heart of the hammock production in Thailand. Peter is the one who started that 30 years ago and thanks to him many persons can make a living out of it. They manage and are responsible for:
- Designing new patterns and weaving techniques.
- Teaching the art of hammock weaving to new hill tribe people.
- Control the quality of every hammock before it gets packaged.
- Weaving the most complicated and beautiful hammocks.
Every hammock you buy will bring many hours of relaxation for you, and much needed employment for us. Thank you!
